Pallomahat

also know as Bloborama

General idea

Bloborama is a series of comics by me which pictate the life and times of more or less random stick figures. Most of the comics are just one panel with a tagline.

Not all of these are supposed to be funny and some may be of a very serious nature.

Techinque

So far everything has been drawn digitally using just the simplest of paint programs and a mouse. Everything started out of some pencil sketches which evolved into digitally drawn pictures I started using as avatars in various places, and the core style has been refined somewhat from the very first panels.

I call my drawing style of such a character "Pallomaha" (of which "Pallomahat" is a plural form) which means "ball belly" since they are not genuine stickmen. In English I refer to the style as Bloborama. The style itself is simple and drawn with thick lines, but occasionally pixel-perfect detail can be seen aswell. The idea is that the images can be resized down and will still be recongiseable despite the lost detail of the thinner lines.

Characters

Most of the characters are just random people off the street but there are a few recurring personalities with a unique look to each. Recurring characters I have so far created are Paavo with his trusty rifle and a leather cap and the high-voltage ninja (pending an Englishiation of the Finnish name) with his electric current problems.
